Summary: The cottage was very clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to main routes. The interior decor was tasteful and the hospitality of the hostess was wonderful! She left us snacks, coffee, and flowers. The cottage was a little snug in the master bedroom but the King size bed was very comfortable. Wish the view of the ocean was more than what we could see which was only from our front door. The photos online were a little misleading because they show the entire cottage which is a duplex. Our cottage was in the back so we were not sure if anyone was in the other part and didn't want to sit on the deck if someone happened to be in the front section. A very nice place to stay for the weekend and to relax.

Summary: The cottage is very cute, but impractical and uncomfortable for the price point. Here are the pros: it’s right on the water and sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the boats pass by was wonderful; the homeowner gave great recommendations for things to visit and places to eat in the area and she left a considerate tray of treats in the fridge; the beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. The cons: having to army crawl under the king size bed to reach the only mid-wall outlet to plug my husband’s CPAP in; having to use a kitchen chair as a side table for the same device because there are no bedside tables; the bathroom (although beautiful), has an insect problem…bug strips/pad was saturated with critters and in plain sight next to tub — clearly not swapped out between stays; cottage was about 50 degrees when we arrived and there were no basic instructions on how to operate the mini split to generate heat. I could tell the owner was getting annoyed with me after it wasn’t working initially. Also, the cheap Mr. Coffee machine was filthy. I thought Bristol was lovely, but I have no desire to return to this particular property.

Summary: Aesthetically beautiful, but fell short in practical terms. TV didn't work, owner was unable to fix during our stay. Refrigerator was a problem, never got cold the two nights I stayed - we had medication which had to be refrigerated that had to be replaced. Dirty cheese knife in drawer - still had cheese on it. Long hair in fridge drawer. And the biggest disappointment - a few people wrote about the "no view" in the cottage to the back of the property - I didn't quite get it until I arrived and realized, the only view of the water from our cottage was through the kitchen door window. Since there is a second cottage right in front of the one I stayed in - we were unable to use the upper deck. With two little kids sleeping in the cottage, I was unable to leave my cottage and go to lower deck area. Overall disappointed. I asked owner to consider a credit due to the loss of the medication - emergency supply replacement needed - but she refused any responsibility and told me I should have let her know about all the problems and stored my medicine in her fridge. I paid $650 a night, but realize now that doesn't mean I would not encounter problems. I waited a month to write the review to make sure what I write will help future vacationers and not be solely a means to vent. The owner did seem to be a very nice person but surprised me when she didn't take any responsibility for the numerous problems and didn't consider a credit for the lost medication.

Summary: A short but sweet stay. Dee was super friendly and accommodating, and gave us an absolutely lovely welcome platter of treats. We didn't have beach weather, but we used the kayaks and sat on the patio anyway. The bathroom is like what you'd see in a 5 star hotel. The kitchen is also incredible.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay, I wish we had been in the front unit - that unit had a wonderful full water view. This back unit is very tight, my suggestion for the owner is to remove some of the Knick knacks - the space is so tight, it was hard to move around with such big furniture and stuff. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay.
